Just almost cried at the end of Generations, thinking about how Spock would have reacted to the news about Jim, the hologram pendant around his neck, and how much exactly he must miss his t’hy’la, how he’s had to live so long without half his soul. I can’t imagine he’d have been thrilled to hear that Jim was left in an unmarked cairn on Veridian III either.

1. I play the flute.

2. I have a cat called Thumbs that I got for my 16th birthday, and he acts as an alarm clock waking me up every morning with love and affection.

3. I have been to: Italy, Poland, France, Japan, Germany, Spain, Barcelona, Scotland, and study in Wales.

4. I did karate for 7 years, and achieved black belt second dan.

5. I was once bullied into an episode of Last of the Summer Wine by its director. In the nicest possible way.

6. I have thrown my brother into a reservoir. No worries, he was wearing a lifejacket, and he swims.

7. I once had a conversation in Japanese with a much older lesbian trying to pick me up in a gay bar in Japan about coming out in England versus Japan.

8. I met my first horse (my mum’s horse Bridget) when I was three days old.

9. I was a complete surprise after my mum had been told for three years that she could never have children.

10. My mum worked in the Civilian Service for the army, and had offers from army officers to ‘get rid’ of my dad when they started dating.

Hope these were interesting and entertaining, as they’re all true!

It actually kind of throws me off when I don’t see Kirk flirting with guys in the films, because it’s so ingrained in me as a headcanon that he’s like Captain Jack Harkness - he flirts with people, not a gender, or even race. If he likes you, he’ll flirt.
