It’s a Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Sephiroth figurine, complete with box. It’s currently at 99 pence on eBay, shipping to the UK. It’s in good condition, so I’d like to get a higher price if possible.
So, for my calendars, I order from Goodprint, and upload my pictures of choice for each month. Being a fangirl, I usually put my fandom faves in there.
So today, I got a phonecall from goodprint, saying that the February picture was too low quality to print, could I send them a better copy? So I agreed, and the lady on the phone cheerfully told me that she liked my choice of pics. I politely thanked her, thinking that yeah, fair enough, most of my pics were of Jim Kirk and Raleigh Becket.
It wasn’t until later, when I was looking through the folder with all the photos for the February one that I realised what she meant.
The trouble with tv shows is that plot is forwarded through conflict. So they give you these characters to love, to want to see succeed, to care about. And you want to see their lives, see what happens to them. But, in order to create something interesting, the writers then proceed to put said characters through problem after problem, and even if something goes right for the characters, it’s only for a little bit before something new comes up to ruin their lives again. So you can barely stand to watch because you’re just waiting for things to go wrong. But you want to watch, because you love the characters. But because you love the characters, you don’t want to to see them hurt. Vicious circle.
I swear to god, the book is just as gay, even though it actually had a love interest for Marcus. You should watch the alternate ending, it seriously gets gayer. THOSE GUYS ARE SO IN LOVE. BABIES. ‘I though I’d lost you.’ REALLY?!
Woo hoo, can you recommend the book? Because I might consider checking it out if it means more insight into the characters and the world and such. ALSO I AM TRYING TO FIND THAT ALTERNATE ENDING AND I CAN’T FIND IT???? I just find an interview with Jamie Bell talking about an original ending in which Marcus buries the Eagle (which was how I thought it would end). Can you share?
Also I love that the last words Marcus said to Esca before the ‘I though I’d lost you’ was a direct threat like iMMA KILL YOU ASAP but when he sees Esca he’s all like ‘babe where have u been’ geez so gay
Reblogging for space to flail.
The book is actually pretty old, ‘The Eagle of The Ninth’ by Rosemary Sutcliffe. It has a couple of sequels about Marcus’ descendants, which I’d like better if they ever mentioned Esca. It’s a lot different plot wise, but just as gay, I swear.
I only have it on DVD? I’m sorry! Though, the DVD is quite cheap, I can get it for like, three quid? (‘Scuse my britishness) Do you want me to just tell you anyway?
RIGHT?! HOW WAS IT NOT A ROMANTIC THING TO SAY? I swear, I have never wanted two characters to kiss more than when Esca grabbed Marcus and said ‘I will return’. DAMN THEM FOR NOT MAKING OUT. All the fic (almost) on AO3 is a) excellent, and b) Marcus/Esca. Sadly there is only so much and you get through it annoyingly quick.
Please, please stay indoors and don’t go out unless it is completelyunavoidable. Tonight is meant to be the worst storm in 20 years, hurricanes and high winds topping over 100mph, so please please stay safe!
First of all, this is mostly to the South. Second of all, it’s the worst storm in maybe FIVE years, not 20. Thirdly, you cannot get hurricanes in the UK. And lastly, the winds are up to 80mph.
Cease being overdramatic. All you have to do is check the BBC website. Thank you.
